Items which are no longer your style, or which no longer fit are good candidates for clearing out. Now you have to decide what, exactly, are you going to do with those items you no longer want. You could throw it all away, or donate everything to an organization like the Goodwill. I suspect that would be too painful, and that you would prefer your items go to another square dancer who will truly enjoy them as much as you did. You certainly know many square dancers, so you could simply give your items to a fellow square dancer. In doing so, you may find that folks sometimes accept most anything that's free, and because it was free, less value is placed on what was received. In the end, you found a new home for your square dance items, but, they are not utilized and enjoyed as you had hoped. Alternatively, you could sell your items. Most everyone would be happy to pay you a fair price and can do so with ease. Now, that's more work, as you need to find a buyer for whom your items are a perfect fit. ReSashay accepts for consignment:

Gently and lovingly used or new square dance clothing and accessories. Anything the square dance enthusiast would love to own that is in keeping with and promotes square dancing.

Prepare your merchandise for consignment:

Wash and press all clothing. Clean accessories. Make necessary repairs. The better it looks, the better it sells.

Consign with ReSashay:

• Complete the ReSashay Consignment Form. Pack your items and a copy of the completed, signed form in a box and mail to:

• Postage is the responsibility of the consignor.
• Merchandise is accepted everyday via Fed Ex, UPS & USPS.

Upon receipt of your merchandise, ReSashay will:

Create a consignor account for you, if one does not already exist, and process your merchandise. We will take lots of pictures, research as needed and set a fair price for each item. We base our prices on three main criteria: Condition, Age, Demand. Items are posted to our online shop with complete details. Unique, specialty items may be made available thru ReSashay's ebay connection. An e-mail will be sent to you within 2 weeks. This e-mail will provide you with your consignor account number and a listing of your inventory. The e-mail will also include instructions on how to view your inventory online. For as long as you have items available for consignment with ReSashay, you will receive monthly e-mails with your inventory status and balance due. If you have any special requests regarding a particular item(s), please let us know. Your satisfaction is of utmost concern to us, and communication is vital. We are at your service.

Consignment for Donation:

This is what really sets ReSashay apart from other consignment shops. As a consignor, if you wish, you can elect to donate some or all of the proceeds from your sales to the square dance club or organization of your choice. All you have to do is tell us to whom and where to send the check . A donation letter will accompany the check on your behalf. You will be informed of your donation as well.

ReSashay's Sales policy:

Items are for sale at the on-line ReSashay Shop or via ReSashay's ebay connection. After 60 days, items are marked down by 15%, after 90 days, items are marked down by 25%. After 120 days they are marked down by 40%.

Items not sold within 6 months:

In the unlikely event that something does not sell within 6 months, you have two options:

1. ReSashay can return your items to you, at ReSashay's expense
2. You may donate those items for the benefit of the square dance activity

If you do not want your consignments returned, ReSashay will happily donate items not sold within 6 months. These items would be made available at square dance conventions, festivals and other regional events. Dancers will be asked to make a monetary donation to benefit the particular event for the items they take. In this way, you can be sure that your square dance related merchandise goes to a good home, where someone will enjoy it as you did. Additionally, the donation will benefit future square dance activities.

Payments are made:

50% of the sales price for each item sold is paid to you or your selected beneficiary square dance organization. There are no item fees for consigning with ReSashay. Checks are mailed between the 15th and 22nd of the month, each month. Proceeds for items sold during the prior month are included in the check. Because we have a 15 day return policy for our customers, we cannot mail the proceeds from sales in the current month. Checks are mailed, per the stated schedule, when the balance due is greater than $15.00. Once your complete inventory with ReSashay is sold your balance due is mailed, regardless of the amount.
